Emil Pellicer is the General Counsel of AD Ports Group and oversees a team of lawyers responsible for all aspects of the Group’s legal affairs around the world.

Pellicer is a member of AD Ports Group Excom and sits on boards of several Abu Dhabi Ports’ subsidiaries and joint ventures including SAFEEN Group and Autoterminal Khalifa Port.

Martin Ginge Aarup is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports, joining the company in 2019.

A seasoned finance executive, Aarup has more than 20 years of international experience in senior management positions in various countries, industries and segment across B2B, B2C, as well as services and manufacturing companies.

Before joining Abu Dhabi Ports, he spent three years as Head of Global Finance Operations for the Marquard & Bahls Group based in Hamburg, one of the leading independent energy supply, trading and logistics companies. Within this position, he was responsible for global finance operations including servicing 300+ legal entities in 36 countries, including subsidiaries, JV’s and financial investments.

Prior to this, from 2011 to 2016, Aarup was the Group CFO of Oiltanking Group, one of the world’s leading independent storage providers for oil, chemical and gas. As CFO, he was functionally responsible for 80 liquid bulk terminals in 20 countries with focus on strategy formulation, portfolio and performance management as well as M&A activities.

In his early career Aarup started as a management trainee in Nordea, a Nordic leading bank, before joining the global Danish shipping conglomerate, A.P. Moller – Maersk, where he over a 10 year period worked in various finance management and leadership roles, primarily in Asia Pacific.

Aarup graduated from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark with a double major in Economics and Business Administration Degree as well as Finance and Credit. Additionally, he has successfully completed several leadership programs from renowned institutions like IMD in Switzerland.

Ross Thompson is Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at AD Ports Group responsible for driving the growth of the company, delivering an enhanced customer experience and setting the corporate governance of the commercial function.

Thompson joined AD Ports Group in 2016 as Vice President of Commercial and Business Development in the company’s Ports Unit, responsible for the Sales, Business Development and Customer Service departments. In January 2017 he was appointed Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer, responsible for the functions of Corporate Commercial and Strategy, Quality and Excellence, as well as Business Process and Business Intelligence.

During his career Thompson has specialised in leading and managing commercial revenues, commercial process and commercial strategy across multiple sites and market sectors having worked for leading international companies in the industry such as the Peel Ports Group and American President Lines (APL).

Thompson is holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Languages from Plymouth University. He has also obtained the Executive Management Diploma from Singapore Management University (SMU) and an Executive Diploma in Maritime Economics and Supply Chain from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
