New Opportunities in Food Security and AgTech in the Middle East and the UAE

Vidya Shah leads the commercial function at Abu Dhabi Food Hub since its launch in 2022. As the Chief Commercial Officer, Vidya is responsible for building and delivering the commercial strategy, and is responsible for all revenue generation activities, products, and services offered across the Food Hub.
Vidya comes with over a decade’s background in trade development, analytics and supply chain facilitation with one of the world’s leading port and maritime operators, DP World. During this tenure, she helped lay initial foundations for bilateral trade corridor development including India-UAE, focussing on supply chain reengineering, and translating organization’s capabilities into customer value proposition. She is passionate about transforming food trade in the region, unlocking potential new markets and driving foreign investments.
Prior to the current appointment, Vidya was responsible for strategy and corporate development for Ghassan Aboud Group’s food trading and distribution businesses.
Within her role at the Food Hub, Vidya aims to support in enhancing diversity and quality of food products available for regional consumers which she believes is crucial given the long supply chains food products endure before they make it to the UAE.
Vidya holds Masters in Business Administration in Marketing and Finance and is an alumnus of International School of Business & Media, India.
